Karla Ann (Baird) Mershon

Karla Ann (Baird) Mershon, age 57 of Kingman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.  She was born in Jamaica, IL on December 7, 1961 to the late Glenn & Barbara Jean (Schumacher) Baird.

She graduated from Jamaica High School in Illinois in 1980.  On February 2, 2002, she married the love of her life, Mark Allen Mershon, who survives.  Throughout the years she worked at General Electric in Danville, IL, Form Flex in Bloomingdale, and Steel Grip in Kingman.  She enjoyed shopping and loved the outdoors.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and taking care of all her animals and critters.  She loved hunting Indian beads with Mark down by the creek and spending time with her family especially her grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband, Mark of Tangier; a daughter, Erin (Jeremy Allen) Baird of Crawfordsville; a brother, Bill Baird of Kingman; three sisters, Debra Hall of Tennessee, Carol Smith and Rebecca Reed, both of Fresno, California; two grandchildren, Havin (fiancé – Kobe Hershberger) Baird and Zylir Baird; great grandson, Hyatt Hershberger; father and mother-in-law, Joe & Margie Mershon; brother-in-law, Larry Mershon; sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Ball, all of Tangier, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and her two dogs, Opie and Mac “Roni”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Lloyd & Ruth Schumacher and a brother-in-law, Mike Mershon.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 3:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 6:00pm with Pastor Steve Crum officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
