Keith Hester

Mr. Keith L. Hester, 60, New Market, passed away at 8:40 AM on Thursday, February 16, at the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. He was born January 23, 1952, in Crawfordsville, to Basil and Alice (Steele) Hester. He married Diana J. Brooks on December 17, 1976 in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Hester was a farmer and had also worked at Inland Container for 6 years. He was a 1970 graduate of New Market High School and attended Purdue University; member of New Hope Christian Church; and a member of the American Trap Shoot Association. In his free time he enjoyed trapshooting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Matthew (Nicole) Hester and Crystal Hester, both of New Market; his parents; his sister: Tonda (Steve) Wysong, Augusta, Georgia; and his granddaughter: Madison Hester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, at 10:00 AM, at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St.., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Michael Whitacre officiating. Burial will be at the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
