Kenneth Pearson

Kenneth R. Pearson, 75, New Market, joined his Lord on the evening of December 20, 2012. He was born on October 22, 1937 in Crawfordsville to Ray and Thelma Pearson.

He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1955. He worked at Midstates, Citi Service Oil Company, and later joined his father-in-law in farming and was a dedicated farmer for 46 years. He was a member of the Jaycees, volunteer New Market Fire Fighter for 18 years, 4-H Incorporated, Farm Bureau Co-Op Chairman and board member for 20 years, and most recently a member of the Montgomery County Drainage Board. Kenny was an avid Colts and Purdue fan and proud John Deere owner. He was a member of Rock Point Church.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilee (Johnson); children Kim (Ken) Barclay of Waynetown, IN; Michelle (Philip) Byrde of Loveland, OH, Jay (Jamie) Pearson of Covington, GA; and granddaughters Sarah Byrde and Addison and Hayden Pearson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Thelma and brother, Raymond.

Calling will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, at the Rock Point Church, 429 W. 150 S. Crawfordsville, with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM. A family committal service will be held on Friday, December 28, in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. .
