Mr. Kenton W. Dickerson, Indianapolis, formerly of Ladoga, passed away peacefully in his brother's home in Ladoga at 1:53 AM on Saturday, September 30th, 2017.He was born in Crawfordsville to Chester Woodrow and Edythe Irene (Murrell) Dickerson.
Kenton was a Firefighter/EMT, retiring from the Wayne Township (Indianapolis) Fire Department, where he had worked from 1982 until 2008.He also had worked for 38 years at Krogers in Crawfordsville, Marion County, Hamilton County, and Salt Lake City.After his retirement, he worked part-time for 5 years for Circle K.He was a 1973 graduate of Southmont High School and received a Fire Science Degree from Ivy Tech. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attending the Indianapolis 1st Ward. He also had been a member of Montgomery County REACT.
He is survived by his former wife and dear friend, Yvonna Jones of Warsaw; his sisters: Dama (Jake) Barbour of Taylorsville, Utah; Penny (Dan) Stout of Ladoga; and his brother: Drew (Donna) Dickerson of Ladoga. He was preceded in death by his parents.
