Mrs. Kimberly S. Maxwell, 47, Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday, December 13, in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born April 17, 1965, in Indianapolis, to Kenneth and Rebecca L. (Land) Thompson. She married Steven D. Maxwell, September 27, 1996, in Crawfordsville. He survives.

Mrs. Maxwell had worked as a waitress at the Forum and China Inn Restaurants; was a CNA for the Ben Hur Nursing Home; and was a homemaker. She was a 1984 graduate of North Montgomery High School; active member of New Creation Ministries and also Church Alive, where she sang in the church band and helped with the teen youth group. She was a beloved daughter, mother, and wife.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Tasha R. Hocking, West Lafayette; Justin R. (Ashley) Hocking, San Diego; father and step-mother: Kenneth (Marjorie) Thompson, Crawfordsville; sister-in-laws: Wanda (Gregory) Peacock, Linnsburg; Connie (Matt) Peterson, Crawfordsville; brother-in-laws: Phil Maxwell, Waveland; Edward (Veni) Maxwell, Crawfordsville; and cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Rebecca; daughter: Ashley N. Hocking; sister: Kathy Davidson; and grandmother: Beulah Land.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, at 2:00 PM at the Church Alive, 1203 E. Main St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Dan Matthews officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill North Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, from Noon until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, to assist the family.
