Larry Joseph Carr

Larry Joseph Carr, age 79, of Crawfordsville went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He was born on January 14, 1941 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Joseph W. and Ruby Winn Carr.

Larry graduated from Van Buren High school in 1959 and proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. He married the love of his life, Sara J. Carr on April 20, 1984. Mr. Carr retired from Skelgas, where he was a truck driver. After retiring from Skelgas, he went to work at Walmart as a door greeter with his twin brother, Wayne. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He liked to watch Westerns, Law-order, Price is right, Lets make a Deal, Wheel of Fortune, and NASCAR.

Larry is survived by his wife; three children, Marty, Larry, and Robin Carr, all of Brazil; a brother, Tim (Linda) Sears of Worthington; a sister, Marjorie Evans of Brazil; three grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; and several sisters-in-law.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Wayne Carr; two sisters, Rosemary Mitchell and Shandra Moss; and two brothers, Gene Carr, and Jim Hyatt.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Monday, June 29,2020 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm with military honors conducted by Bryan Cox Post 72. Social distancing is expected, and limited numbers will be allowed to enter at a time. The service will be live-streamed and recorded, which can be viewed on Larry’s obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Cremation will follow the service with burial of cremains at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.
