Larry Dean Davis

Larry Dean Davis, age 81 of Veedersburg, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette. He was born in Fountain County, Indiana on December 21, 1943, to the late Herman Orville & Mertle Jane (Evans) Davis.

Larry attended Rabb School and Covington High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On August 6, 1976, he married the love of his life, Sandy Lynn Newell, who survives. He worked at Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg for 50 years working in various positions in maintenance, a supervisor, and a night watchman. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, watching Nascar, being outdoors and working in the yard, and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandy Davis of Veedersburg; his daughter, Tracie (Mike) McCollum of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Gavin, Isabella and Jacoby; a brother, Sam (Connie) Davis of Covington; a sister, Pat Wigley of Attica; a son-in-law, Matthew Lynch; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Kristin Lynch; and three brothers, Ronnie, Orval, and Don Davis.
