Larry Charles Dexter Sr.

Larry Charles Dexter Sr, age 67, of Brownsburg passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 in Oxford while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lafayette on November 1, 1950 to the late Charles Henry & Elizabeth (McCall) Dexter.

Larry graduated from Darlington High School in 1968 and proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. On April 18, 1974 in Mace, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kay (Davis) Dexter, who survives.

He was a life-long truck driver who enjoyed camping, playing volleyball with his family and watching racing, football, and boxing on TV.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons, Larry Dexter Jr. of Crawfordsville, Michael Dexter and Joey Dexter, both of Brownsburg; two daughters, Tammi Hipsher of Indianapolis and Daphne Dexter of Dallas TX; one brother, Jerry (Pam) Dexter of Lafayette; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, March 8th from 6-8pm at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care (formerly Powers Priebe Funeral Home) 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville. The funeral will be Friday, March 9th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Celebrant Amanda Atkins officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.
