Mr. Larry L. Lawrence, 76, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, December 30th, at 3:58 PM. He was born in Terre Haute on August 21, 1938, to Herbert an Zelphia (Baker) Lawrence. He first married Helen Susan Dennis. She preceded him in death on January 23rd, 2004. He later married Deborah Snow in Waveland on August 18th, 2007. She survives.

Mr. Lawrence was the owner of S & L Trucking and had partial ownership of 7 Burger Chef Restaurants. He was a graduate of Staunton, Indiana, High School; he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran; his memberships included: The Crawfordsville Assembly of God Church; The Crawfordsville American Legion Post #72; The Crawfordsville VFW Post #1431; The Moose Lodge; and The Vincennes Elks Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Brenda (Rick) Bolding, Vincennes; sons: Danny (Brenda) Lawrence, Annandale, Virginia; Mike (Julie) Lawrence, Newburg, Indiana; Larry Dean Lawrence, Lafayette; step-children: Scott (Leanna) Wise, San Ramon, California; Matthew (Megan) Wise, Thorntown; and Ashley Wise, Crawfordsville. Also surviving is his sister: Bonnie Dickerson, Brazil; his brother: Ralph (Myrtle) Lawrence, Jasonville; 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Juanita Myers; and a grandson: Jacob Randles.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday, January 3rd, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Bill Parks officiating. Military Honors will be conducted in the funeral home by the U.S. Air Force and the Crawfordsville VFW and American Legion Honor Guard. Cremation will take place following the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A family committal service will be held at the Oak Hill South Cemetery, Crawfordsville, at a later date.
