Larry Southwood

Mr. Larry J. Southwood, 62, Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, August 28, at 9:32 AM, at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health, Crawfordsville. He was born June 3, 1949, in Princeton, Indiana, to Lawrence L. and Dorothy M. (Huey) Southwood. He married Patricia Lauy on July 7, 1973 in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Southwood was recently retired from Inland Container Corporation where he had be the Manager of the Cost Accounting Department, overseeing plants in Crawfordsville, St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, and Evansville. He was a 1967 graduate of Princeton High School and an 1971 graduate of Purdue University, where he received a BA in History. In his free time he enjoyed sports, especially Purdue sports, and spending time with his grand kids.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother: Dorothy Southwood, Crawfordsville, and his sons: Jonathan (Tisha) Southwood, Linden, and Joseph Southwood, Crawfordsville. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Debra (Lee) Ebaugh, New Market, and Beverly (Tom) Feathers, New Ross, and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 31, at 2:00 PM, at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Burial will be at the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from Noon until 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
