Laurie Oats

Laurie Ann Grant Oats, 47, Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday, May 17, at 2:35 AM at the Williamsburg Healthcare, Crawfordsville. She was born May 14, 1964 in Kokomo, to Harold Arthur and June (Koche) Grant. She married Charles Cliff Oats December 23, 2006 in Lebanon. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Mrs. Oats had been a waitress; was a courier for Parke County Orchards, Rockville; worked at the Alorica Call Center, Terre Haute and Indiana Packers, Delphi. She was a 1982 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School and attended Indiana Business College.

She his survived by children: Robert Jordan, Thorntown; Charles C. Oats, Lebanon; Lauren Grant, Colfax; Linsey Oats, Rockville. Also surviving are her mother, June Cox, Colfax; brother, James Grant, Franklin, IN; granddaughter, Chloe Hamilton. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son; Gary Wayne Grant; and her father.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, at 1:00 PM at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Denver Fields officiating. Burial willl be at the Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, IN. Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
