LaVera Jean (Wilson) Golden, age 93, of Kingman, passed away at 6:37pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 16, 1920 in Hillsboro to the late Fred and Lora (Ellis) Wilson.
She moved to Covington and graduated from Covington High School. She met and married Charles Golden on April 13, 1940. They moved to Attica, then Kingman, where she was a farm wife and worked at RMC in Attica. She attended Kingman Methodist Church and her Lord and Savior was the Master of her Life.
She is survived by a son, Dale (Judy) Golden of Brownsburg; a daughter, Carolyn Merryman of Kingman; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; sister; Gladys Rayburn; ½ sister, Oveta Williams; ½ brother, Marvine Lough; and great grandson, Peyton Merryman.
Family will receive friends from 12pm till time of service at 2pm on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, Kingman, with Pastor Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kingman Methodist Church. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
