Leoma Nelson

Mrs. Leoma Nelson, 104, Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, July 21, at 5:30 AM, at the Lane House Nursing Home. She was born on March 30, 1908, in Parke County to Daniel E. and Nancy B. (Crowder) Delp. She married Deward O. Nelson, December 20, 1934, in Clinton, Indiana. He preceded her in death in January 1979.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker; attended Rockville High School; and a member of the Rockville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Wilma Kay (Larry) Thomas, Crawfordsville; granddaughters: Lynda Gray, Rockville, and Elizabeth Love, Kokomo; great grandchildren: Brian, Adam, Nathan, Jennifer, and Josh; and 14 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; 5 sisters; and a step-son.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Patty Bymaster officiating. Burial will be at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
