Lillian Mae Morris, 94, of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, January 30, at 6:42 PM at the Lane House Nursing Home. She was born June 21, 1916 near Parkersburg, IN to Carson and Cora (Ellis) Morris.
Miss Morris was a seamstress having owned with her sister, Mildred, the Uptown Sewing Shop in Crawfordsville. They started the business in 1951 and Lillian retired in 1993. She was a 1934 graduate of New Market High School and a member of the Crossroads Community Church of Nazarene. After her retirement she enjoyed doing latchwork and puzzles.
She is survived by several nephews, nieces, great nephews, nieces, great great nephews, nieces, including her namesake, Lillian Mae Mussche, and several great great great nephews, nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: John, Bruce, and Bill Morris, and her sister, Mildred W. Morris.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, at 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Community Church of Nazarene, 117 W. St. Rd. 234, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Mark Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church on Friday, February 4, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM and also at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
