Mr. Lincoln Edward Priebe, 90, Pompano Beach, Florida, also of New Market and Windsor, Ontario, passed away Friday, October 25, in the Holy Cross Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was born on June 26, 1923, in the Waveland area, to Fred and Goldie A. (Bayless) Priebe. He first married Margaret Louise Scott on November 7, 1943, in New Market. She preceded him in death on June 29, 1991. He later married Joyce Mulcaster on May 10, 1997, in Florida. She survives.
Mr. Priebe was a retired Farmer. He was a 1941 graduate of New Market High School. His memberships included the: Waveland Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine of Indianapolis; Crawfordsville and Pompano Beach Elks Club; Purdue University President's Council; John Purdue Club; Windsor Yacht Club; and the Solidarity Towers Boat Club, Windsor. He hosted the 1972 Farm Management Tour of Indiana in 1972; was named an Indiana Prairie Farmer Magazine Master Farmer in 1974; hosted the Farm and Progress Show in 1979; was on the Board of Directors of the Elston Bank and Montgomery County Farm Bureau Co-Op; was the President of the Montgomery County Corn Growers Association; Chairman of the Montgomery County 4-H Livestock Auction; was a member of the New Market School Corporation Building Committee when the new high school was built in 1957; was a Southmont FFA Farm Donor; and was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church.
He is survived by his sons: Ted A. Priebe, Ft. Lauderdale; Terry S. Priebe, Ladoga; and Tim E. (Vanessa) Priebe, Lafayette. Also surviving are step-daughters: Judy Parker, Windsor, Ontario, and Jill Parker, Canton, Michigan; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son: Tim Scott Priebe; and his brother: Fred H. Priebe.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, in the Whitesville Christian Church, 3603 S. Ladoga Rd, with Rev. Michael Whitacre officiating. Entombment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the church on Friday, November 1, from 4:00 PM until 8:00, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
