Linda Louise (McFatridge) Barr, age 71 of Crawfordsville passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Logansport on November 27, 1946 to the late Thomas Wayne & Betty Pearl (Pearson) McFatridge.
Linda graduated from Camden High School in 1965 and on May 24, 1996 she married the love of her life, Gary Gilbert Barr, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2008. She was a secretary and retired from Sommer Metalcraft after 35 years. She enjoyed coloring, knitting blankets and loved working in the yard with her flowers.
She is survived by a son, Jean Shafer; a daughter, Daphne “Suzie” (Howard) Nichols-O’Hair, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Robert (Renee) McFatridge of Florida; two sisters, Pamela Jones of Las Vegas and Sharon (Richard) Allen of Logansport; four grandchildren, Chelsi Brown, Richard Wilson, Myles Shafer, and Christopher Wilson; three great grandchildren, Austin, Thomas and Kinley Lidester; several nephews and a niece, and her cat, Ginger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Racheal, and Trenton Shafer.
