Linda D. Thomas

Linda Diane (Baker) Thomas, age 65 of Crawfordsville passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born in Crawfordsville on March 23, 1953 to the late Harold Franklin & Freda “Jean” (Wall) Baker.

Linda graduated from Southmont High School in 1972 and proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. While in the military she met the love of her life, Michael W. Thomas, and they were married on June 2, 1973. She was a loving mother, housewife, and caregiver. She loved playing games, especially Bingo, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Michael Thomas; a son, Michael Irdell (Jacqui) Thomas of Georgia; a daughter, Tonya Nicole (Bryce) Knox of New Ross; two brothers, Donald (Linda) Baker of Veedersburg and Duane (Christine) Baker of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Myah & Kalee Knox and Olivia Thomas; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her three dogs, Scooter, Flash, and Brandy.

Visitation will be at Whitesville Christian Church, 3603 S Ladoga Road, Crawfordsville on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery with military rites by the United States Army and Legion Post 72 Honor Guard.
