Mrs. Linnie A Hubbard, age 97, of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at St. Clare Medical Center at 2:10 a.m. She was born to Horace and Cordia (Shipman) Everhart on October 28, 1912 in Sullivan County, IN. She was a High School Home Economics teacher for 20 years teaching in various schools in Sullivan County. After retirement she managed food services at a nursing home fo r 3 years. She married Charles Hubbard on April 24, 1936 in Terre Haute, IN. She graduated from Sullivan High School where she received the Sherman Scholarship which allowed her to attend Indiana State Teachers College where she attained her BS and Masters degrees. She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She attended Wesley Chapel and Yountsville Community Churches in Montgomery County.
Survivors include one son, Neil (Kathy) Hubbard of Lake Holiday; sister, Geneva Fritz of Muncie, IN; granchildren, Cara (John) Caplinger and Chris Hubbard both of Crawfordsville; one great granddaughter, Cayden Caplinger of Crawfordsville.
Preceded by her husband, parents, three brothers; David, Donby, and William Everhart; one sister, Laura Kirkwood.
