Born on August 9, 1929 to Joye (Hager) and Clarence Decker in La Porte, Indiana. Lois was surrounded by a large family and loved the local lakes which she frequently hiked around, swam in, and ice skated on. She rode her bicycle everywhere which was a gift from her grandfather purchased through the families’ 3rd generation Decker Hardware store. Lois was active in school and church and was artistic and musical.
As a young fashionable woman Lois met Frank Craft Jr. They were sweetheart pen pals while he was in Europe during WWII. Once home they courted by evenings out dancing to big band orchestras. They married and moved to Indianapolis. Raising their three children, Lois worked with Frank in their partnership of Graybill-Craft Insurance Agency in Broad Ripple. She was active in PTA and school events, Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church, as well as taking good care of their children and the many tasks at home.
Lois semi-retired and moved to Crawfordsville to be close to her daughters. She remained active working through Experience Works at several locations in Crawfordsville. She spent much time with her family and grand dogs. She loved keeping up on fashion, home trends, growing flowers, sports, and current events.
Sadly, over the last three years her health began to decline and on June 10, 2019 Lois went to be with our Lord. A private family memorial gathering is to be held.
