Loretta "Hope" Riley, age 86 of Veedersburg, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born at home in Fountain County on September 26, 1931 to the late Gerald and Mildred (Keller) Perry.
Hope worked in home health care as a LPN for over 30 years and owned and operated Riley’s Concessions for 20 years. She enjoyed raising Himalayan cats, watching her hummingbirds, taking care of her garden and most of all she loved caring for people and her family.
Hope is survived by her son, Timothy (Brandi) Riley of Veedersburg; two daughters, LeeAnn (Charles) Robinson, of Covington and Lori (Mark) Stover, of Martinsville; 2 brothers, Conrad (Peggy) Perry of Kingman, and Terry Perry; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; special granddaughter, Rebekka and special niece, Alice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Riley; son, Thomas Birge; brother, Gerry; and 3 sisters, Margaret, Winona "Winnie", and Geraldean "Geri".
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the service following at 2:00pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. 1st Street, in Kingman with Daneen Rodriquez officiating. Burial will follow at Coopers Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Rd Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
