Mrs. Lottie Elaine White, age 93, formerly of Alamo and Waynetown,IN passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at Lane House Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, In.

Lottie was born November 29, 1916 at Havelock, Nebraska the daughter of Mick Daniel and Rachel L. (nee; Ellison) Manners. She attended school in Havelock, NE and married Jesse A. White at North PLatt, NE on December 30, 1933. He preceded her in death on august 5, 1978.

Lottie was the Postmaster of Alamo Post office for many years, and had worked at the Wilson Brothers Shirt Factory and FW Woolworth store in Crawfordsville before that.She was a 50 plus year member of the Alamo christian Church where she was active in Church activities and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Culver Hospital and served as a curator at the Ben Hur Museum and enjoyed delving into the history of Gen. Lew Wallace.

Lottie is survived by her sons: David & Alberta Jo White of Crawfordsville, In. and Donald and Sue White of Indianapolis, In. her daughter: Carole E. Stout of Waveland, IN. and 11 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Beulah Folden, Minerva Stehl, Ruby Turner, Flossie Willis and Dolly Mathews. Brothers; Dee and Dale Manners, a great grandson Shawn White and son-in-law David Stout.

Funeral services for Lottie White will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday November 4th at Shoemaker Funeral Home with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. The family will receive guest from 10 am tuesday until the services. Burial will follow in Ladoga Cemetery.
