Louise Powers

Mrs. Louise C. Powers, 88, Ladoga, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 28, at 7:25 PM. She was born January 28, 1925, in Montgomery County, to Harold and Hallie (Henry) Caldwell. She married James Franklin Powers May 6, 1944, in Montgomery County. He preceded her in death June 14, 1988.

Mrs. Powers had been a Bookkeeper; was a graduate of Ladoga High School; and was a member of the Christ's Lutheran Church, Crawfordsville.

She is survived by her daughter: Donna Brindle, Terre Haute; grandchildren: Joshua (Grace) Brindle, Matthew Brindle, and Anna (James) Nichols; and 8 grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Cremation was selected with a Memorial Service being planned by the family on Saturday, November 2, at 2:30 PM in the Calvary Chapel of Crawfordsville Church, 915 N. Whitlock Ave., with Pastor Joshua Brindle officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 1:30 PM until the service time. A family committal service will be held at a later date in the Oak Hill North Cemetery. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with the cremation.
