Mable Maxine Raley

Mable Maxine Raley, age 75 of Crawfordsville, passed away at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Mable was born in Parke County, Indiana on April 8, 1942 to the late Rev. Perry Glen and Irena Mae (Crowder) Riley.

Mable attended Coalmont High School in Jasonville, IN and married Paul Wesley Raley on October 10, 1959 in Lafayette. He preceded her in death in 2004. Throughout the years she worked at WM Plastics, Carmen Nursing Home and worked in housekeeping and as a nurse’s aide at Ben Hur Nursing Home. She was a member of the Church of God in Crawfordsville. Mable enjoyed gospel music, loved her Lord and serving the church.

Mable is survived by her son Tony (Mary) Raley of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Lora (Tom) Paxton of Greencastle; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Seth, Ethan, Shelby, and Kevin; and 8 great children.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; daughter, Diana Lynn Bowles; 3 brothers, Ora, Dale, and Charles Riley; 2 sisters, Elsie VanHorn and Mary Rehnel; and 2 grandchildren, Sara, and Willie.
