Mamie Y. Richardson passed away at 11:15 am on November 11, 2011 at the home of her niece Susan and David Lunsford of Crawfordsville, In.
Born on December 27, 1929 at Waynetown, In she was the daughter of Wilbur Lewis and Lola Viola Wyant Lough. She graduated from Waynetown High School in 1947 and married Forrest Richardson who preceded her in death on August 27, 2011.
She was a co-owner and the manager of Richardsons Hardware of Waynetown from 1963 to 1983. She also had managed the Farm Home Square hardware from 1983 to 1992, wand worked for the Waynetown Dispatch Nedwspaper from 1949 to 1951, electric sales and service for Mac Murdock from 1947-1949 and Edwards heating and cooling from 1992 to 1995. She was actively involved in Scouting and her church and local clubs.
She is survived by 3 sons: Terry and brenda Richardson of Moorefield, W. V.; Carl and Phyllis Richardson of Glasglow, KY; and Paul David and Noel Richardson of Browns Valley, In. also 1 daughter: Yvonne and David Strack of Friendsville, TN.
She also has 8 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 am Tuesday November 15, 2011 at Shoemkaer Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Williams officiating. Friends may call at the fuenral home on Monday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 201 S. Walnut St., Crawfordsville, In. 47933
