Marilyn Jo Fruits

Marilyn Jo Fruits, 78, Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday,January 27th, 2018, at 11:10 PM in the St. VincentHospital in Indianapolis. She was bornSeptember 9th, 1939, in Crawfordsville, to Kenneth Lee and Louise (Moore) Bayless.

Marilyn was retired from Culver Hospital/St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville, where she had been a Licensed Practical Nurse. Earlier in her lifeshe was a Homemaker and a Nurses Aide. She was a 1957 graduate of New Ross High School and a 1985 graduate of the Ivy Tech Nursing Program. Her memberships currently include the Woodland Heights Christian Church and she hadpreviouslybeen a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ where she was amember of the Ladies Auxiliary and was the Director of the church's "J.A.M" after school program. She was also a long time member of 4-H and presently a 4-H Supporter. Her favorite pastime was being with hergrandchildren andgreat-granchildren.

She is survived by her sons: Mark (Sally) Fruits, Wiingate; MikeFruits, Indianapolis; and herdaughter: Sandy Fruits, Indianapolis. Also surviving is her brother:Donald (Linda) Bayless, Lafayette; her sister: Deb (Gary) Achgill,Lafayette; grandchildren: Mandy Fruits; Mindy (Josh) Kerns;great-granadchildren: Emma and Robbie Lyons; Jackson Fruits;Kynlee and Evelyn Kerns. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister: Carolyn Jean Bayless.

Funeral services arescheduled for 10:00 AM Friday,February 2nd, atPowers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Wilke officiating. Burial will follow in the Mace CommunityCemetery. Friends may call at thefuneral home on Thursday,February 1stfrom 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
