Marilyn Wilson

Mrs. Marilyn Sue Wilson, 73, Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, October 21, at 8:24 AM, in St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born December 4, 1938, in Montgomery County, to Jesse and Viola (Shrout) Douglas. She was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Gerry and Lawrence Douglas of Crawfordsville. She married Reid W. Wilson, December 14, 1958, in Waynetown. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Mrs. Wilson was a Homemaker and had worked at Doug's Drive-In. She attended Crawfordsville High School; was a member of the Liberty Chapel Church; and had been a volunteer for the Montgomery County Food Bank.

She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Sue Wilson, Lafayette; her sons: Reid A. (Shelia) Wilson and Terry (Judy) Wilson, both of Crawfordsville. Also surviving is her brother: Herb Cox, Crawfordsville; her sister: Sue Bowerman, Waynetown; her sister-in-law: Shirley Wilson, Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty; her parents; and her brother-in-law: Robert Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, at 2:00 PM in the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Michael Whitacre, officiating. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from Noon until 2:00 PM.
