Marion K Strickland

Marion K. Strickland (Miller), age 88, of Covington passed away at 4:10 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born in Lyons, Nebraska on June 16, 1925 to the late Robert and Mable (Hines) Miller.

Marion attended Flora High School where she met her husband, James R. Strickland, whom she married on August 15, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri. She was a house wife and loving mother and attended the First Church of Nazarene in Danville, IL.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Strickland of Covington; a son, James (Joy) Strickland of Covington; a daughter, Saundra (Dale) Castleberry of Flora, IL; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Doris and Norma (Jackie).

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:00pm at the First Church of Nazarene in Danville IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
