Marjorie M. Gray, age 78, of Kingman, passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital.
She was born in Grove City, Minnesota to Fred and Marie (Gerjets) Hogrefe on February 26, 1938. She was raised in Buckley IL by her Uncle Ed and Aunt Laura Hilgendorf.
On March 19, 1955, she married Everett Terrell, they later divorced, then on August 29, 1975, she married Howard Gray.
Marjorie was a housewife, loving mother and was proud of her grandchildren and their many accomplishments. She loved the Cubs and the Fighting Illini, enjoyed playing cards and collecting salt and pepper shakers.
She was an active member of Kingman American Legion Post 384 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons; Donald (Regina)Terrell, of Danville, IL and Dale Terrell of Covington; daughter-in-law Julie Terrell, of Danville, IL; two step-daughters, Mary Jo Gray and Debbie DeMotte; 10 grandchildren; Angie, Tracy, Trisha, Shannon, Amanda, Ashley, DT, Jeremy, Sara, and Cody; 7 great-grandchildren; Matthew, Maddison, Hannah, Alexis, Alayna, Andrew, and Christopher; 7 step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon(Jerry) Bachoven and Marie Gran, and sister-in-law Marie Hogrefe, all of Minnesota; brother Charles (Millie) Hogrefe, of Missouri and brother Rob (Marci) Penguilly, of Minnesota; several nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Maureen Fuoss.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Everett Terrell and Howard Gray; son, David Terrell; two brothers, Leo and Marvin Hogrefe; and brother-in-law Daune Gran.
Funeral will be held at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, Kingman, IN on Tuesday, Jan 24 at 11:00 AM with Steve Crum officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, Jan 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL.
