Martha Joan (Grimes) Brown

Martha Joan Brown, age 83, of Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hickory Creek. She was born in New Market on June 27, 1937 to the late Lyle Claude and Mabel E. (Wright) Grimes.
Martha graduated from New Market High school. She married Donald Deane Brown on March 2, 1963, he preceded her in death on May 5, 2015. She was the head cook at Waynetown Middle School and North Montgomery High School for over 40 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Waynetown and a 65 year member of the Eastern Star #498. She enjoyed Nascar and traveling with her husband before he passed.
She is survived by a son, Michael Brown; a daughter, Donna (Mike) Wood; and two grandchildren, Kelton and Trey.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Donald; a brother, Richard Grimes; and a sister Betty Priebe.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street, in Crawfordsville, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 5:00 pm until the funeral service at 7:00pm. Social distancing is expected, and masks are required. Burial will take place at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
