Martha Jean Glascock

Martha Jean (Cunningham) Glascock, age 92, of Kingman passed away at 10:06 am on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital in Crawfordsville. She was born in Crawfordsville on November 20, 1922 to the late Earl Mitchell and Georgiana Frances (Hopkins) Cunningham.

Martha graduated from Wallace High School in 1940 and attended Purdue University. On June 8, 1941 she married the love of her life, Hubert Henry Glascock, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2001. Martha was a member of the Scott's Prairie Christian Church, the church's ladies aide, and numerous other community organizations. She was a Longaberger basket consultant for 34 years, enjoyed cooking, making candies, and everyone always knew her kitchen was always open. She enjoyed many things but most of all she loved her family, and was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by 2 sons, Loren (Janice) Glascock of Veedersburg and Louis (Donna) Glascock of Sullivan; one daughter, Jane (Keith) Simmons of Kingman; one sister, Carolyn Cunningham of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Gibson, Megan (Ryan) Ellmore, Kara (David) Kauffman, Katrina (Charles) Dugan, Travis Glascock, and Mitchell (Brittany) Simmons; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Anne Woolwine and Nancy Carr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert; a sister, Sarah Ellen Glover; and brother-in-law, Wayne.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 4-8pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman. Funeral services will be Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home with Jerry Holdman officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
