Martha Sutton

Ms. Martha "Marty" Ann (Meyer) Sutton, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, January 12, 2012. Marty was born October 7, 1934, in Lafayette, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Irvin C. and Emma Pearl (Taylor) Meyer). Martha retired to Lebanon, Indiana after having worked and lived in Crawfordsville most all of her life; being devoted to family with loving hands and providing care and compassion to many people throughout her life. She attended Lebanon Bible Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her son: Steve Steelsmith of Lebanon; sisters: Diane Linton, Waveland and Janice Cox, Naples, Florida; grandson: Seth Steelsmith, Crawfordsville; step-granddaughter: Brianna Beaty, Lebanon: great grandchildren: Austin and Ryan Steelsmith. She was preceded in death by her loving companion of many years, Stanley Linn; her daughter: LaVonna Steelsmith; sister: Joyce Burnett; and brother: Irvin C. Meyer, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, at 3:00 PM, at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Pastor Dan Strong officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
