Marvin Eugene Galvin

Mr. Marvin Eugene Galvin, 88, Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday, January 10th, at 8:07 AM in the Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville Healthcare. He was born August 4th, 1928, in Boone County, to George H. and Ruth Galvin. He first married Mary Frances Brannon on September 14th, 1946, in Muncie, Indiana, she preceded him in death on June 26th, 1993. He then married Nancy Louise Garrett on August 12th, 1996. She survives.

Marvin was retired in 1997 after 33 years with R.R. Donnelleys where he last worked in the Shipping Department. He also worked on at the dairy farm at the Knightstown Children's Home, where he grew up. He was a graduate of Knightstown High School; a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Crawfordsville; and loved animals and building model airplanes.

He is survived by his wife and preceded in death by his son: Francis "Rusty" Galvin; his daughter: Virginia "Ginger" Horstead; his brothers: Jim and Charles Galvin; his sister: Virginia Dawson; and his parents.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service being held on Saturday, January 14th, at 2:00 PM, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 702 Shady Lane, Crawfordsville, with Brother Laurel Lehr officiating. Private committal services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
