Mary Elizabeth Farrell

Mary Elizabeth (Hylton) Farrell, age 85, of Rising Sun, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 28, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home in Lafayette. She was born in Ammons KY on January 5, 1931 to the late Guy Owen and Lucy Katherine (Poole) Hylton.

On September 17, 1981 she married Ron Farrell in Las Vegas. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and worked as a proof reader for American Stationary for 8 years. She enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ron of Rising Sun; son, Duane (Liz) Flaherty of Macy; three daughters, Betty Brennan of TN, Kay Weathington of Lafayette, and Lynn (Roy) Lewis of FL; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Louise (Flaherty) Coleman; two brothers, Henry and Robert Hylton; and a step-son, Randy Farrell.

Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, in Peru, IN with the funeral service following at 2pm. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 900 Cooper St, Jackson, MI 49202.
