Mary Evelyn (Lister) Kolaiser, age 96 of Hillsboro passed away on April 5, 2018 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was born in Fountain County on August 11, 1921 to the late William & Nora (Farley) Lister. On January 18, 1937 she married Frank Kolaiser, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2005.
Throughout the years Mary worked as a housekeeper and in several factories, including Radio Materials in Attica. She was a happy woman who was always smiling. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, watching WWE wrestling and was on a bowling league in Covington.
She is survived by a daughter, Delores (George) Hancock of Veedersburg; 4 grandchildren, George (Anna) Hancock Jr., Chuck Hancock, Lori (Tony) Ellis, and Bryan Cox; 13 great grandchildren; and 20 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; a daughter, Virginia Meihls; 5 brothers, Earl, Claude, Norman, William Jr, and George; 2 sisters, Hazel and Vesta; a granddaughter, Elizabeth York; great granddaughter, Katasha Ellis; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, 453 State Rd 341, in Hillsboro on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11:00am till the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating.
