Mary Martin

Ms. Mary Etta Martin, 80, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, March 14, at 2:25 PM in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born September 3, 1933, in Mecca, to Leonidas and Laura (Gregory) Doan. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Jim and Fannie Bell Ellis.

Ms. Martin had been a waitress and homemaker; graduated from Montezuma High School; and enjoyed doing crafts and playing board games.

She is survived by her son: Doug (Linda) Warren, Crawfordsville; her daughter: DeEtta K. (Larry) Bennett, Olive Branch, Mississippi; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her aunt and uncle, Fannie and Jim, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
