Mary Oliver

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth. Oliver, 79, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, November 27th, at 12:10 AM in the St. Vincent 86th St. Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born August 7, 1934, in Mellott, to Walter and Lois Fauneil (Houts) Brown. She married Robert E. Oliver, May 29th, 1955, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2003.

Mrs. Oliver retired from Fujicolor in May, 2003, after 11 years of service. Prior to that she worked at Sommer Metalcraft for 10 years. She had also worked at Hose Elementary School for 3 years as the Lunch Supervisor. She was a 1952 graduate of Richland Township High School.

She is survived by 3 sons: Rick (Lynn) Oliver, Crawfordsville; Randy Oliver, Crawfordsville; Ryan (Vicki) Oliver, Waynetown; 1 daughter: Jill (Greg) Strunk, Redmond, Minnesota; a sister: Margaret Broshar, Jamestown; 2 step children: Dave, Michigan, and Jane, Crawfordsville; 8 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 5 great granddaughters; and 1 great grandson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was selected with a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, November 30, at 6:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Strunk officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
