Mary Lou (Moore) Sheets

Mary Lou (Moore) Sheets, age 91 of Crawfordsville passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on March 25, 1928 to the late Frank Douglas & Marguerite Virginia (McAtee) Moore.

On October 28, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia, Mary married Harry Lee Sheets Sr, who preceded her in death on February 16, 1996. She was a loving mother and homemaker and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, V.F.W Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge in Crawfordsville, and the Mace United Methodist Church. Mary enjoyed sewing and crafts, but most of all she loved helping the people at Ben Hur Nursing Home, where she lived for 15 years.

Mary is survived by a son, Harry Lee (Jo) Sheets Jr; three daughters, Diana (Roy) Shober, Darlena (Rick) Huffman; and Carol Glover; five brothers, Richard, William, Jack, David, and Johnny; two sisters, Sharon and Martha; eight grandchildren, April, Heather, Matthew, Shelly, Mark, Matt, Sara, and Ryan; many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; son, Jerry; daughter, Connie; and a brother, Frank Jr.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street, in Crawfordsville on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. The funeral service will at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00am with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Roachdale Cemetery.
