Mary Leah Turner

Mary Leah Turner, age 69 of Cayuga, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Clinton, Indiana on June 5, 1953 to the late Hershel Casey & Pansy Deloris (Gastaldi) Turner.

Mary attended North Vermillion Schools and was a loving homemaker and mother. She was married to Tom Smith; who preceded her in death. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, going to garage sales, and enjoyed watching her TV shows, Outlander and Criminal Minds.

Mary is survived by a son, Josh Smith; three step-sons, Tommy Smith, Jake Smith, and Rob Smith; a step-grandson, Alex Smith; three sisters, Lilly Mae Asbury, Loretta Stonebraker, and Arletta (John) Fleming, one brother, Tom (Sandy) Turner; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Smith; two sisters, Barbara Jean Fisher and Carolyn June Turner; and two brother, Bud Turner and Dennis Turner.

Cremation was chosen with a Dinner and Gathering of family and friends on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:00pm (noon) at the Cayuga American Legion, 922 W Ferry St in Cayuga. Sanders Funeral Care of Kingman entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
