Melissa Harwood

Mrs. Melissa Sue Harwood, 42, Crawfordsville, passed away unexpectantly on Friday, December 12th, at 9:21 AM, in the Franciscan-St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born March 11th, 1972, in Crawfordsville, to William E. and Carolyn S (LaFollette) Shaw. She married Kevin L. Harwood on March 14th, 1993, in Crawfordsville. He survives.

Mrs. Harwood had worked for the past 12 years at the Crawfordsville Wal Mart where she was an Overnight Stock Associate. She had attended Crawfordsville Schools.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents of Ladoga; her daughter: Kaitlin Harwood, Crawfordsville; her son: Jesse Harwood, Crawfordsville; her brothers: Joshua (companion-Ashley Stokes) Shaw, Linnsburg; William (Stephanie) Shaw, Jr., Brownsburg; her grandmother: Ilena Dexter, Crawfordsville; 4 nieces and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by grandparents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery, Beckville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 16th, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
