Michael Ray Emerson

August 13, 1953 — January 20, 2016

Mr. Michael Ray Emerson, age 62, of Waynetown and formerly of Stockwell, In. passed away early Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Roudebush Veterans administration Hospital in Indianapolis, In.following a coragious fight wit cancer.

Mike was born on august 13, 1953 at Wallace, IN> and was raised by his mother and stepfather Velma (nee: Edgin) and Harold Clements. He graduated from Twin Lakes High School and served in the US Marine corps from 1970 until 1975 with the rank of Cpl. Mike was trained to as an electrician and wworked for a few different companies but his favorite job was the one he retired from with the tippecanoe County Highway Dept. Mike was a member of the Battleground Church of God.

Mike married Lisa Gregory on December 30, 2005 and she survives him. He is also survived by Sons: Brandon Emerson of Waynetown; Michael (Taylor) Emerson of Weldston, Ohio; Tavis (Ashely) Gregory of Linden, daughters: Angela (tim) Marriott, Teresa Kisling and Katie Thomas of Waynetown, IN. He also has 4 brothers: Joe (Kris) Emerson of Elmdale,IN; Tom (Rhonda) emerson of Crawfordsville, IN.; Roger (Teresa) emerson of Marshall, IL. and James (Doroth) emerson of Crawfordsville, IN. one sister: Diana (Wayne) Clifford of Hampton. NJ. He also has 7 grandchildren and was predeceased by his brother Tim Emerson and sister Emma Jean emerson.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Saturday January 23, 2016 at Shoemaker Funeral HOme, 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown, In. A memorial service with millitary honors will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Warrum officiating.
