Mr. Michael Dean "Mike" Grenard, age 59,of Crawfordsville, In. passed away at 11:45 AM Saturday November 22, 2014 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
Mike was born February 20, 1955 at Crawfordsville, In. the son of Donald E. and Mary Joan Foxworthy Grenard. Mike grew up just outside of Waynetown, In and graduated from Fountain Central Jr. Sr. High School in 1973. He was a certified welder at Acuity Brand Lighting MFG of Crawfordsville, In.
Mike married Ruth Ann Bell on May 25, 1990 and she survives him. Also surviving are sons: Marvin Lee & LeeAnn Curl Jr. of Bushnell, FL. and Robert & Ashley Curl of Greenville, Ohio. Daughters Tabitha Blackford (Rocky Vincent) of Ladoga, In. and Alisha & Steve Walker of Crawfordsville, In. His sister and brother-in-law Holly and Randy Reed of Ladoga, In. 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Uncles, 2 Aunts and his grandson Nick Blackford.
There will be a public gathering of remembrance for family and friends on Friday November 28th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at Shoemaker Funeral Home 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown, In. It was Mike's wishes that he be cremated and then to have a private burial of his ashes. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. 9100 Purdue Rd. Indianapolis, In. 46268 or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
