Michael Strawser

Michael E. Strawser, age 59, of Covington passed away at 7:52am on Monday January 21, 2013 at his residence after a battle with cancer. He was born in Danville IL on December 4, 1953 to the late Glenn & Martha (Higbee) Strawser. He married Marcia Strawser, who preceded him in death.

Michael graduated from Covington High School. He was a self-employed diesel mechanic and truck driver. He enjoyed working on cars, going to auctions, gardening, reading good books, was a wonderful grandpa, and helped anyone in need.

Survivors include his daughters, Jenny Smith of Indianapolis and Sherri (Refugio) Ramirez of Covington; sisters, Dollores Stellas of Glenview IL, Cynthia Hehmann of Covington, and Karen (Bill) Dockins of Portage IN; brother, Richard (Sharon) Roberts of Covington; 5 grandchildren, Christian, Andrew, Justin, Chloe, and Lillian and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia Strawser; infant son, Michael E. Strawser Jr.; and brother, Gene Strawser.
