Michael Shane Suitors

Mr. Michael Shane Suitors, age 63, passed away at 4:45 PM Thursday April 4, 2019 at the Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, IN. following an extended illness. Mike was born on November 18, 1955 at Crawfordsville, IN the son of Cecil Max and Ruth Evelyn (Florey) Suitors and grew up on the family farm south of Waynetown, IN. He started school at Waynetown and then graduated from the newly consolidated North Montgomery High School. Mike loved being out of doors on the tractor in the fields and out in the woods. He especially loved hunting mushrooms in the springtime, the company of his best buddy, his dog Oreo and was a big IU basketball fan. A friendly person he was often in the company of friends at the F&F gas station or the Outpost having a coke and participating in stories and debates of the goings on. He was known to help out those who might be down on their luck and greatly enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Mike was self employed as a farmer helping his Dad on the family farm until his health declined.

Mike is survived by his daughter Shelby Jo Suitors of Indianapolis, IN, his brothers and sisters-in-laws, Floyd Kim & Joanna Suitors of Greencastle, IN and Lloyd Tim & Diana Suitors of Hillsboro, IN. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in 2014 and his mother in 2017.

A Graveside funeral service will be conducted for Mike at 11:00 am Tuesday April 9th, at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery and officiated by Pastor Kevin Howey. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big Four Arch Rd., Crawfordsville, IN. 47933.
