Mildred Janice (Kelly) Robinson Alward, age 85, of Kingman passed away at 11:45am on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette.
Janice was born in Russellville, IN on April 11, 1929 to the late George & Louise (Bell) Kelly. She graduated from Russellville High School in 1947. On August 8, 1947 she married Bill Robinson, who preceded her in death on February 25, 1980. She later married Don Alward on March 20, 1982, who also preceded her in death.
Janice was a mother and home-maker, worked at Turkey Run State Park for several years and was a member of Russellville Federated Church and the Kingman Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Kay (Verlin) Lindley of West Lafayette; a son, Michael Wayne (Diane) Robinson of Lafayette; two sisters, Barbara (Aaron) Craft of Roachdale and Ella Jane (Jimmy) Dresslar of Greenwood; 5 grandchildren, Felica, Jason, Velina, Jake, and Chase; 10 great-grandchildren; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12-2pm, Saturday, July 12, 2014 with the service at 2pm at the Kingman Methodist Church, 201 N 2nd Street in Kingman with Pastor Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial will follow at Centennial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Centennial Cemetery. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
