Mildred L. Mellott

Mrs. Mildred L. Mellott, age 94, the seventh child of G. Abraham and Bertha Goff Larew, died at 10:45 am September 20th in her home with her family by her side.
She was a member of the Christian Union Church and a 1934 graduate of Waynetown High School. She had worked at the Waynetown State Bank, Elston Bank and National City Bank retireing after 35 years. She was a member of the Alamo Order of the Eastern star.
She was married to Willard Horrocks of PA on April 11, 1936. On December 22, 1962 she married John H. Mellott of Veedersburg, IN.
She is Survived by her daughters: Nancy (Jim) Bishop of Waynetown, In.; Joan (Stephen) Robinson of Carmel, CA.; Carole (Tim) Faulkner of Kokomo, IN.; Mitzi (Mike) Hinton of Roswell, GA.; and sister, Betty Ping of Sheridan, IN. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; brothers, Walter, Merle, Edward, Charles, Robert and Billy; and sisters, Mary Diegel, Lena Sentman, and Ruth Terry.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday September 23, 2011 at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Wayentown, IN. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, In. or St. Elizabeth Hospice in Lafayette, In.
