Mildred Pointer

Mildred K. "Millie" Pointer, 86, of New Market, IN passed away peacefully at the Williamsburg Healthcare, Crawfordsville, on June 12th, 2010 at 9:05 PM. She was born in Wallace, IN, April 27, 1924, to Raymond and Icel Goldie (Allen) Shelton. She married Dale Pointer, December 7, 1946, in Waveland, IN. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a member of the New Market United Methodist Church. She had owned with her husband the "Pointer Cafe" in New Market for several years. She had also worked earlier in her life at RR Donnelleys, Crawfordsville. She loved to cook, garden, and read poetry.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Susie (Tom) Groves of Evergreen, Co. and Cathy Pointer of New Market. She is also survived by a brother; Leroy (Eileen) Shelton, of Crawfordsville: and a sister;Mary Perry of New Ross; a granddaughter; Shannon (Gary) Sneed of Coniffer, CO, great grandchildren; Madysyn and Gracie Sneed of Conifer, CO: a brother -in-law, Joe Pointer of Crawfordsville.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, a daughter; Cynthia Ann Pointer, 3 brothers; Harold, Leslie, and Carl Shelton

Visitation to be held at Powers Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, Tuesday, June 15th, 2010, at 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

Service to be held at Powers Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, Wednesday, June 16th at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery at New Market.
