Mildred Elaine Woten

Mrs. Mildred Elaine Woten, age 78, of Waynetown passed away at 1;40 am Friday April 10th at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, In.
Mildred was born at Potomac, Illinois on Frebruary 16, 1937 the daughter of Carroll Hershel and Ethel Blanche Talbbott Rhodes. After moving to Crawfordsville as a child she graduated from Crawfordsville, High School. Mildred married Marion H. Simms in 1955 and they later divorced. She married Lloyd Woten in 1980 and the divorced. After her children were grown mildred worked for RR Donnelley and Sons in the Bindery Dept. and retired in 1996. Mildred's memberships included the Crawfordsville VFW and the American Legion. She enjoyed being out of doors and especially like to raise a garden.
Mildred is survived by her son Mike (wife- Linda A.) Simms of Crawfordsville,IN. and her daughter Susan Simms of Waynetown, In. and 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister: Sonya Ray of Crawfordsville, In. and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters and her son Robert Allen Simms.
Funeral services for Mildred Woten will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday April 14th at Shoemaker Funeral Home. The family will recieve friends from 11:00 am until the services on Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
