Mrs. Miriam Denise Morley, age 66, passed away in the company of her family at 12:52 am August 22, 2018 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville, IN.
Miriam was born at Crawfordsville, In on October 29, 1951 the daughter of Ivan Lee and Betty Jean (nee: Elkins) Cedars.
She graduated from Crawfordsville High school and then married Dennis Morley on June 21, 1970. While raising their family Miriam worked for a time at IMPEX in Crawfordsville and then opened the Silk Patch Flower Shop in Waynetown, In. She was a talented lady who loved to paint, craft and work with flowers. Miriam loved to be outdoors around their firepit with family and friends and watching natures creatures.
Miriam will be greatly missed by her Mother Betty Cedars of Crawfordsville; husband Dennis Morley of Hillsboro; son Eric (Kim) Morley and their children Briana and Brayden of Crawfordsville; daughter Lori (Rob) Barr and their daughter Rylee Barr of Waynetown. She is also survived by her brothers Tom (Teresa) Cedars of Crawfordsville; and Bob a(Dorothy) Cedars of Georgia; sister Carol (Jerry) Whipkey of Crawfordsville. Also several In-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Miriam was a quiet person with a close-knit family and group of friends. She chose cremation with a private celebration for her family and friends. Shoemaker Funeral Home is honored to assist her family and friends in following her wishes.
