Nancy Pearlene Herbers

Ms. Nancy P. (Fruits) Herbers, 70, Crawfordsville, formerly of Orlando and Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully in the Williamsburg Healthcare on Wednesday, January 27th, at 2:05 AM. She was born outside New Market on January 6th, 1946, to James Alfred and Mary Leola (Lewellen) Fruits.

She had worked for Indiana Bell Telephone and was a 1964 graduate of New Market High School.

She is survived by her daughters: Tamara C. Herbers and Kelli D.Herbers-Masluk, both of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her sister: Anna Jean (Don) Moser, Waveland; brothers: James F. (Peg) Fruits, Crawfordsvile; Thomas W. Fruits, Crawfordsville; Ronald E. (Leesa) Fruits, Avilla, Indiana; and her granddaughter: Christina Andrea' Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: John M., Jerry F., and Joseph A. Fruits.

Nancy was full of life and always laughing, especially at herself. She had been married but would admit, "there were too many to count". She loved to tell a joke or a story about something stupid she did, just to make you laugh. She always had a smile on her face, even when she was putting you in your place. She was sassy, sarcastic, a little crazy, fun, and beautiful inside and out. We will miss her smile but she will always be in our hearts.
