Nina G. Spohr, 72, of New Market, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010, at her home after a 2yr. battle with cancer. She was born on June 22, 1937, in Greene County, IN, to Ward and Dorothy (Mattox) Ray. She married David E. Spohr, June 5, 1966 in Lyons, IN. He preceeded her in death on November 24, 1998. She retired after 37 years as an 5th & 6th Grade Math Teacher, having taught 3 years in Clay City, IN; 5 years in Greene County, IN; and 29 years with South Montgomery Schools. She also was a Teachers Aide for 5 years. She was a member of the New Ross, Indiana, Chrisitian Church, where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She was a 1955 graduate of Lyons, IN, High School. She received her BA and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education & Administration from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN. She was also a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association.

She is survived by son, Anthony "Tony" (Reva) Spohr of Crawfordsville: daughter, Davina (Daryl) Baker of Jamestown, IN: Antoinette (Rusty) Williams, who considered Nina her own Mother, of Crawfordsville; Sister-in-law, Linda Ray of Linton, IN: good friend, Dale Cochran of New Market: grandchildren, Cody (Elizabeth) Money, Kayla Money, & Drake Baker, all of Jamestown, IN, and Olivia Williams who considered Nina her own grandmother: great grandchildren, Ella Foster and Kaya Money, both of Jamestown, IN.
